GRAMMAR'S DIRTY DOZEN: The 12 Most Common Mistakes and How to Fix Them

A Practical, Interactive 90-minute Audio Conference for Administrative Assistants, Secretaries and Other Office Support Staff

You don't need to be a grammar whiz to get better at spotting and fixing errors in business writing. You can make a big improvement in most documents just by knowing the most common mistakes that writers make and the tricks that make correcting them a breeze.

Many administrative professionals, remembering a couple of rules from their school days, waste time fixing things that just don't need to be fixed—and miss more important errors at the same time. This audio conference presented by The Office Professional will teach you how to tell the difference so that you can spend your time where it counts: on corrections that matter.

Whether you write documents yourself or check them for your colleagues or managers, you'll gain confidence in producing error-free letters, memos, reports, marketing materials, and more. Join Wendalyn Nichols, editor of Copyediting and ContentWise newsletters, as she shares these 12 key tips for improving business communications.

Why an Audio Conference?

If you've never taken part in an audio conference before, you'll find that it's much like a large conference call or a call-in radio program. Simply dial the 800 number from your handheld, your speakerphone, or your conference pad, enter the PIN you'll receive—and you're connected. Gather your staff around the phone and have everyone benefit from the presentations and the lively Q&A session.

This audio conference will include a presentation by Wendalyn, plus ample time to discuss questions posed by you and the other conference participants. To ask a question or make a comment, simply punch a code number into your phone. An operator will come on the line. You can ask your question, and it will be put into the queue. Together with your fellow conference participants, you'll also participate in real-time polls.

Simply stated:

  • It's easy. Just dial a toll-free number from your phone, enter a PIN, and you're in!
  • It's convenient. You can call and take part from anywhere.
  • It's interactive. The conference includes plenty of Q&A time and audience polls.
  • It's a bargain. You needn't spend extra money or time on travel for you and your staff. Train your whole editorial staff for one low price of $229.
